From field to plate: vertical integration. Part 5/5 — Qualiko answers

The final part of our series answers the question behind all the others: how can a producer guarantee quality at every step? The answer has a name: vertical integration. Qualiko answers.

MHP, the producer behind the Qualiko brand, controls the entire chain: it grows its own grain, produces its feed in its own mills, operates breeding farms and hatcheries, raises the birds, processes the meat and distributes it through 11 distribution centres and more than 450 refrigerated vehicles.

What does the customer gain from this? When every stage belongs to the same producer, there is no unknown link: raw-material quality, biosecurity and the final safety of the product are controlled all the way to the point of sale.

The model extends even to energy: since 2012, MHP has operated the first biogas plant in Europe running on poultry waste at such capacity — raising chicken literally powers the plants that produce it.

On carne.md you’ll find the end of this chain: Qualiko chicken brought to Moldova by its official distributor, with an unbroken cold chain all the way to you. The full story, with all 10 stages, is on our About Us page.
