Home-raised or store-bought chicken — which is better? Qualiko answers

Many of us grew up with the idea that “home-raised chicken” is, by default, better than the one from the shop. It is a conversation we often have with our customers, so we are dedicating a whole series to it: over five parts, we put the myths face to face with the facts. Qualiko answers.

The truth is that “home-raised” does not automatically mean controlled. A chicken raised in a backyard eats whatever it finds — and no one checks its health. Qualiko chicken grows on natural feed produced entirely on MHP’s own farms — corn, wheat, sunflower, rapeseed — with no GMOs, a status certified by an independent authority.

The birds’ health is monitored daily by qualified veterinary specialists, and rearing follows the international GLOBAL S.L.P. standard. Every stage — from feed to cutting and packaging — passes through quality control, attested by the BRCGS Food Safety, GMP and Halal certifications, published in full on carne.md.

The taste? A chicken raised unhurried, on balanced feed, has tender meat and a clean taste — without the surprises of an animal with an unknown history. And vacuum packaging plus an unbroken cold chain keep it fresh all the way to your home.

The conclusion of part one: it is not where a chicken grows that makes the difference, but the control over every stage. And on that score, “home-raised” cannot compete with a process certified from field to plate.
